Colourful Boho Wedding at Markham Museum
Ann & Rene came into my life through a referral from a previous bride and quickly jumped from clients to friends. Our meetings consisted of Rene cracking inappropriate jokes while Ann and I rolled our eyes and bonded over our love for intricate blooms. Meeting them was so good for my soul.
Ann & Rene had an outdoor tented wedding at Markham Museum in July, 2018. The walls of the tent remained lifted to let in as much natural light as possible. Ann tangled with ideas of keeping the palette neutral or going colourful. The firecracker that she is, she chose colourful, and I am SO happy she did. Her colour palette included blush, peach, white, burgundy, light + dark blue, cream and wheat. While this may sound like a mix mash, the colours worked guys, trust me. This palette ran through Ann’s bouquet and the arch that Rene made himself! Ann cried when she saw her bouquet. That is something I will remember forever.
We filled their rectangular guest tables with greenery and plants + herbs in terracotta pots. We added loose greenery down the centre of the tables to highlight the tealights and wood elements. We also created two large urn arrangements filled with textured branches and greenery. The space felt so bright, clean and fresh, right down to the donut wall. The true honour for me that day was getting to place Ann’s flower crown on her head. She looked like a piece of art, not because of her natural beauty, but because her happy soul shines through everything she does. Rene, you’re ok too.
